On June 27th, 2024, Water and Environmental Engineering group of the Civil Engineering Department from Sharif University of Technology (SUT) and the Water and Environmental Engineering University Research Institute (IIAMA) from the Technical University of Valencia (UPV) of Spain hosted the inaugural Water and Environment Workshop. This event brought together over 100 researchers, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, professors, industry representatives, and environmental activists from various countries.
The workshop commenced with introductions from both UPV and SUT, followed by two in-depth sessions. Each session featured five presentations, with three from UPV and two from SUT, showcasing the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the field. Upon completion, all participants and presenters received certificates jointly issued by UPV and SUT.
Beyond the workshop, SUT and UPV have expressed their intent to forge a deeper partnership in the areas of joint research initiatives, student and researcher exchanges, study visits, and the organization of future workshops.
