According to the latest 2026 ranking by Times Higher Education (THE), Sharif University of Technology has been placed among the world’s top 400 universities. The university has shown remarkable performance in indicators such as industry collaboration and research quality.
According to the Public Relations Office of Sharif University of Technology, the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings have been released, and based on these results, Sharif University of Technology is ranked in the 351–400 range globally.
According to the Times report, Sharif University of Technology’s scores out of 100 are as follows: Teaching: 35.2, Research Environment: 38, Research Quality: 78, Industry: 96.7, and International Outlook: 33.2.
Considering the weighting system of this ranking methodology, the university’s overall score falls within the range of 49.9–51.5. The Industry indicator is recorded as the university’s highest component, reflecting its special standing in industry engagement, technological collaborations, and knowledge transfer to industrial and production sectors.
It should be noted that the University of Oxford secured first place in this ranking, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ranked second, and Princeton University and the University of Cambridge jointly ranked third.
