Dr. Mohsen Ansari, Assistant Professor at Sharif University of Technology's Department of Computer Engineering, has been appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Embedded Systems Letters, an international journal published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The journal specializes in embedded systems and related technologies, publishing research on topics such as embedded hardware and software design, real-time systems, the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, and low-power design.
In his new role, Dr. Ansari will work alongside the journal's editor-in-chief to oversee scientific and editorial processes, coordinate the editorial board's activities, and support the journal's academic development. His responsibilities will focus specifically on the Sensors and Signal Processing area, covering sensor systems and signal-processing algorithms for embedded applications.
Dr. Ansari previously served as an Associate Editor for the same journal and has been involved in reviewing and editorial work for several IEEE and ACM publications in embedded systems, IoT, real-time systems, and cyber-physical systems. His research interests include AI in edge computing and IoT, embedded machine learning, low-power embedded system design, real-time systems, and cyber-physical systems. He also heads the Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory at Sharif's Department of Computer Engineering.
His appointment reflects the active role of Sharif University faculty in the international scientific community and underscores the university's standing in computer engineering and intelligent embedded systems research.
