TEHRAN – Sharif University of Technology (SUT) has released its official Graduate Employment and Education Monitoring Report for 2025. According to the findings, 85% of graduates from the past academic year have successfully secured employment or enrolled in advanced degree programs.
The Office of Public Relations at Sharif University announced the results of this comprehensive survey, which tracks the professional and academic trajectories of its alumni. Since its establishment in 1966, the university has graduated over 68,000 students, with an average of 1,800 new graduates joining the alumni community each year.
The latest survey, conducted in January 2026, gathered data from approximately 50% of the preceding year's graduates. The key findings are as follows:
- Employment & Education: Of the graduates surveyed, 48% are currently employed, while 37% are pursuing higher education.
- Unemployment Rate: The unemployment rate within this statistical population stands at approximately 12%.
- Other Statuses: The remaining 3% fall into an "Other" category, which encompasses individuals fulfilling mandatory military service or those unable to work or study due to illness or other personal circumstances.
The report highlights notable trends across different academic units. The Graduate School of Management and Economics reported the highest rate of workforce entry among its graduates. Conversely, the Department of Physics maintains the highest proportion of graduates continuing their academic studies.
